 The ‘Aadhaar Hackathon 2021’ will be hosted by the UIDAI.

The UIDAI, a government body, is holding the “Aadhaar Hackathon 2021.” The hackathon will begin on October 28 and go through October 31. The Hackathon 2021 will cover two topics, each with its own set of challenges and themes. The first theme is “Enrolment and Update,” which effectively covers some of the real-life problems citizens confront while changing their addresses. The Hackathon’s second focus revolves around UIDAI’s “Identity and Authentication” solution.

UIDAI is looking for new ways to confirm identity without having to share the Aadhaar number or any demographic data. It’s also on the lookout for creative applications based on the UIDAI’s recently published facial authentication API. 

The goal is to make some of the existing and upcoming APIs more widely known in order to meet the demands of residents.
